Connect view for web projects

The Connect view eases the process of adding authentication and creating/updating API components. Added connections appear as components in the Libraries panel.
The Connect view contains two distinct tabs for adding connections and authentication:
Note: Connections are currently only available for web projects.

Access Connect view

To access the Connect view:
  1. 1.
    Enter your app.
  2. 2.
    Click Connect in the top navigation bar to enter Connect view.
Note: The Connect view opens in the Connection Catalog page by default.
To switch between the tabs, select the:
  • Boxes icon for the Connection Catalog.
  • Shield icon for the Authentication tab.

Connections catalog

In the Connections Catalog, you can add any of the following connections:
  • REST API
  • Algolia Search
  • Firebase Firestore
  • Firebase Storage
  • Notion API
  • Xano Database

Add a connection

To add a connection:
  1. 1.
    Click Add a new data connection.
  2. 2.
    Select a connection type from the Add a New Connection window.
  3. 3.
    Populate the Configuration section with the indicated connection information.
  4. 4.
    In the Add Action section, add actions to your connection and populate the Edit Action section to configure them.
  5. 5.
    In the Test Data Connection section, test and preview your connection.
  6. 6.
    Click Publish to Logic to add your connection to the list of available components.
Published connections appear in the Connections Catalog, where you can:
  • Click the tile to edit your connection.
  • Select the menu in the top-right corner of the tile to delete the connection.

Authentication

The Authentication tab enables you to add authentication requirements to your web project. You can choose from the following authentication providers:
  • Auth0
  • Firebase
  • Xano
  • OAuth2
  • Facebook
  • Google

Add authentication

To add authentication to your web project:
  1. 1.
    In the Connect view, click the shield icon.
  2. 2.
    Click Configure.
  3. 3.
    Select a provider from the drop-down menu.
  4. 4.
    Input the required provider information.
  5. 5.
    Click confirm to add the authentication.
